As I’ve been talking about for the past couple of weeks, I’m in the process of moving. It has felt like a much longer process than I wanted it to be. But I think it will be a good change. The book series I’ve been reading reminded me there are a lot of reasons to relocate. Moving your character can be a great way to cause drama in your story. Living situations can be a good way to play up a trope—for example, the “falling in love with your roommate” romance storyline.
Writing Prompt: Write a scene in which your character has to leave their current home. Do they want to leave or are they being forced out?
