Thought-Provoking Thursday Week Twelve

Hey Fans, Friends, and Fellows,

I’m revisiting Inkheart by Cornelia Funke this week. I’ve always loved magic of that nature. Give me a story where characters come out of books or can travel into them, and I’m absolutely down for it. (I know that’s not uncommon among writers.) *SPOILERS* The saddest part for me is when Elinor finds the ashes of her rare books. I know that worse things happen in the book, but it crushes me a little bit every time. I related so much to Elinor’s character. I loved the idea of a house so full of books that they’re in every room. It’s so sad that I don’t know if I’d have been able to write that scene.

Writing Prompt: Write a scene that pulls at your heartstrings without relying on death or a relationship ending.
