I bought a hat from Target a while ago that I liked the shape of but not the chosen decorative accent. They’d hot glued a half faux snakeskin and half faux leather cord band around the base. That was easy enough to remove but finding the replacement took a bit of inspiration. I finally figured out what I wanted to do, though. I found some black scrap fabric in my crafting area and went to town, giving the hat a new band and bow. But that’s not the best part. I made it so that I can switch out different accessories to dress the hat up a bit more depending on the rest of my outfit. Check it out!
This is the bow I mentioned. It will honestly rarely be seen because I will make so many cute things to cover it. Simply slide the hair clip in place. Snap it shut. And voila! Okay, so the flowers won’t be magically conjured, but I will hot glue them to the hair clips.
