Fine Art Friday 10/1/2021

Hey Fans, Friends, and Fellows,

A while back, I found that there are a couple of other books on Amazon that used the same model on their cover as my first book. Maybe it shouldn’t have bothered me. I mean there have to be plenty of books that use the same Shutterstock models. But instead of just letting it eat at me I decided to do something about it. So I drew original covers to replace the photoshopped ones. I’ve been trying, with these Fine Art Friday posts, to increase my confidence as an artist. I know that I still have a lot more to teach myself when it comes to digital art, really when it comes to art in general, but I’m happy with these designs. I’m still working on the full paperback cover for my Novella I’m hoping to get it done this weekend.

Anyway, I decided to go with a full rebrand on these books. The content is all the same I’m just making them a bit more authentically me. I was never in love with the original titles. Fun facts I’m terrible at giving things titles. I doubt that will ever change, but I think these ones suit the stories better. I hope with more practice I’ll get better at that. Really I’m hoping I get better at all of this. I have to, right? If I keep putting the work in. More updates to come when I’ve finished the back cover of Between Full Moons. If you love the new cover for Until the Next Full Moon the ebook is live on Amazon and the paperback image should be changing soon too. I’ve gotten the email from KDP saying that it is live but it’s still showing the old cover as of today. If it doesn’t change in the next 72 hours, I’m going to call and find out what’s holding it up. (The email just came through this morning so I’m hoping that it just needs a little time to get itself in order.)
