It’s the first writing prompt of the year! I’ve got my first episode of Two Page Tuesday up and I’m excited to see where the story goes. I’ve been trying to convince my boyfriend and sister to do their own stories this year. If you’re thinking of your own Two Page Tuesday, I thought I’d share some tips to get you started. If you answer these questions you should be ready for your first two pages.
What genre and tropes are you most attracted to?
What point of view would you like to use?
What does your protagonist want? This is something you want to answer on two scales. What is their deep desire/motivation? What do they want in the immediate moment?
What is in the way of them getting what they want?
