Hey Fans, Friends, and Fellows,
I loved both Alix E. Harrow’s books so when I found this story I checked it out from the library immediately. Her streak continues in this story that combines fairytales, alternate universes, and lgbtq+ romance. Though the story doesn’t give you the simple happily ever after you might expect from something so fairytale-esque, I still enjoyed it thoroughly.

It was a fairytale kinda week. After finishing A Spindle Splintered I found a copy of Grimm’s Fairy Tales that features one of my favorite audiobook readers, Jim Dale. He’s the narrator of a show called Pushing Daisies and the reader for the audiobook of The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Even if audiobooks aren’t really your thing I highly recommend Jim Dale as a narrator, he has a way of making everything sound like a bedtime story from a beloved grandpa. (The Listening Library didn’t bring Jim Dale on for all of the stories in this audiobook but I still enjoyed listening to them all.)
